Question:
I just read a brief article that stated when B12 is combined with almost any other vitamin, it’s destroyed during the digestion process. Is there any truth to this claim?
-Hank
Answer:
Dear Hank,
The only problem with B12 absorption occurs in some elderly people who lack a substance known as “intrinsic factor” produced in the duodenum. Those people need to get injections or take the sublingual form which dissolves in the mouth. Methylcobalamin is the preferred superior form.
